ICEF Agent Voice
ICEF’s Agent Voice survey was first developed in 2020 to deliver rapid feedback from agents in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The survey is unique in its frequency and level of detail, and conducted prior to each ICEF networking event to gain fresh insights into the perspectives of agents around the world and how they are adapting and responding to the pandemic.
Each survey cycle features questions on day-to-day agency operations, recruitment projections, destination attractiveness, student decision factors, and other market trends.

As of March 2021, the ICEF Agent Voice has surveyed student recruitment professionals from across the world.
In addition to this wide geographic coverage, the survey has also sought sector-specific input from professionals active in the higher- and secondary-education spaces, giving a truly unmatched breadth and depth of coverage on the latest issues affecting the international education community.
Further research legs will give full global coverage, helping you to quickly address emerging issues in your chosen focus markets.
• The most significant challenges experienced by students, as reported by agents, are border closures or uncertainty around travel restrictions (70%) followed by financial concerns (46%).
• Similarly, agents rate travel restrictions and the availability of international flights as the most important factor that will influence where students will choose to study in the near-to-medium term.
• Educator-agent communications have been especially intense this year, and many new working relationships are taking shape. More than seven in ten (72%) of agent-respondents report establishing new partnerships during the pandemic.
